Black voters want t know. A new website allows African-American voters to track, by industry, who is giving money to their elected representatives. The website named Contribution Explorer allows the voter to see what money is going to their elected representative.

Although you will not be able to see what companies are giving the money you can see what industry is shelling out the money. The importance of this website and other sites like Countable.com can give the voter a good idea what their elected representatives are getting and from whom.

After entering your representatives  name, the web site will list the total contributions and break it down by industry. The information is presented in an overview format. Contribution Explorer pulls data from Open Secrets, which has more details. But Contribution Explorer is designed to be much easier to read. If all you want to know who’s paying your guy in Washington then check it out.
